Accessibility statement

Last updated

We build this site to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings. This statement is honest about where we are, including what is not done yet.

Conformance target

We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and align with the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW 3.0) because we work with public-sector bodies.

We have not yet been independently audited, so we do not claim certified conformance. An independent audit is scheduled and we will publish the report — including anything it finds — rather than self-certify.

What is in place today

Verified in our automated test suite and by manual review:

  • Full keyboard operability, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
  • Semantic landmarks, one page heading, and a logical heading order.
  • A skip link to the main content as the first focusable element.
  • Text contrast of at least 4.5:1, verified per colour pair in our build pipeline.
  • Full support for prefers-reduced-motion — every animation has a static, legible equivalent.
  • No content conveyed by colour, animation or a shader alone.
  • A complete light theme as well as dark, both meeting the same contrast bar.

Known gaps

Some pages described on this site are still in development. As each is built it passes the same automated accessibility gate before it can ship — a serious or critical failure blocks the release.

The site is currently published in English only. A Hindi translation is planned.
